Lower School (PK-grade 4) Middle School (grade 5 - 8) Upper School (grade 9 - 12)
Academics at USM

In Upper School, students actively engage in learning. Seminars, small-group projects, and challenging assignments help students develop independence of thought and work habits to prepare them for college and beyond. Our dedicated faculty challenge all learners to stretch their understanding, their imagination, and their knowledge. Our students take a college-preparatory curriculum which focuses on analytical reasoning and critical thinking. The Upper School program includes courses in each of the core academic areas - English, mathematics, history, science, and foreign language - and in the arts, computer science, and physical education.
